The truth hurts

No One cares about your blogI made a promise to myself and someone else (I think an ex-girlfriend, but I'm not sure), that I would post at least one thing (picture, blog, or advice) everyday for as long as I have this website. Prior to this website I've never blogged. I posted one drunken/high blog on my Myspace page because I was too high to sleep and I felt like talking, yet I had no one to talk to. Anyway, considering that I the only advice request/ question I got today didn't deserve an answer because it was so asinine I'm forced to write a blog. BTW, the asinine question asked, "Are all Asians gay or just you?". Obviously, the guy was attempting to insult me by insinuating that I'm gay, but, I'm not. If the guy had reworded the question so that it didn't include the entire Asian population, I might have given him a valid response. However, if an entire culture and the sub-cultures within it were all gay then they wouldn't be able to populate....duh. I did respond. I told him that I could take a joke and I'm used to getting ripped on but, his joke wasn't funny or offensive enough to warrant a response. He's gotten too much of a response from his question already, in this blog.

Back to my point; I read a total of about 2-3 blogs daily. I always check out www.fameofshame.com because the blogger is funny, current, witty, and he's an old friend. Besides that I only read blogs pertaining to things I find interesting. I don't see the purpose of microblogs (diary entries). The only people that read them are some immediate friends and family or stalkers. I suppose microblogging is good for the blogger psychologically, by given a false sense of purpose, but the truth is no one (friends included) ever reads the diary entry blogs. The Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook updates are good enough for telling your friends what your up to. They don't need to know what you had for lunch or that someone smelly sat next to you on the subway. That news should be reserved for your significant other because no one else cares. Everyone now-a-days is too self absorbed to have that much of an in depth concern about anyone else. I mean, sure, people worry about your well being; but, does anyone really care about your daily routine? No they don't. So, unless something relevant happened throughout the day, you should keep your personal thoughts personal, rather than display them for the world to not read. I know I'm apathetic to microblogs, but I'll read your opinion on a topic. Just don't tell me about your mundane life because that, I don't care about. Example: Linda at work said I looked handsome today........WHO CARES! Let me close by saying thanks for letting me waste your time and reading my blog. I hope you enjoyed it even though it may have, psychologically, been more for me than for you.
