It's me FUBAR again. Your advice worked. The girl "Kate" doesn't want to ever see me again and she didn't press charges. Unfortunately, no one is believing me when I tell them nothing happened and Kate's sister has labeled me as a pervert to all her friends. Is there anyway I can reclaim my name and convince people that I did NOT have sex with a high school girl?

You made your bed now you have to sleep in it. People will continue to believe that you had sex with Kate because it's true. Now I'd advise you to stick to your guns and keep denying it be cause it is your word against hers. Her sister and her sister's friends, of course, will never believe you over Kate but, don't admit to it no matter what your thinking. I'm sure the idea has crossed your mind to admit and shift that blame to Kate because she lied about her age. That would be stupid because the ones that do believe you, will no longer and then everyone has lost trust in you. Don't worry about anyones opinions and just stick to your story that you passed out. Don't elaborate or get detailed just keep it plain and simple: you took her to your room, but you were so drunk you passed out before anything happened. You might have lost some friends, but if they are taking Kate's word over yours then they weren't really your friends to begin with. You true friends should no the truth and still accept you despite it. I don't condone lying to anyone, but in your case it's either admit to statutory rape or be a lier. I'd chose the later. Keep denying it and in time, it will pass. Six months from now, no one will even care. Some may forever associate you with being a pervert that has sex with underage girls, but unless they can prove it, it's just hearsay so, I wouldn't stress about it.
